The project addresses challenges such as low development, inadequate Higher Education systems, youth unemployment, and carbonized economies by empowering African universities to lead sustainable development through Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
The consortium is made up of University of Nairobi (Kenya),University of Lagos (Nigeria), University of Rwanda (Rwanda), University of Witwatersrand (South Africa), and, in Europe, University of Paris Science et Lettres (France).
The GREEN-STEM project is a cross-regional mobility cooperation between universities in Africa. GREEN-STEM’s mission is to put African Universities at the forefront of Sustainable and Green development and to empower their leadership to tackle the Climate Change impacts by Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.
